A Taste of Sonoma at The Wayback
Welcome Wednesday with Marimar Estate — three pours, light bites, 4–6pm at The Cabana
Pull up a seat — this Wednesday, The Wayback is hosting a laid-back wine tasting with Marimar Estate, and there’s a beautiful story behind every bottle.
Marimar Torres comes from one of the most storied wine families in the world. The Torres family has been making wine in Spain’s Penedès region for over 150 years, with roots tracing back to the 1600s. In 1986, Marimar brought that centuries-old European winemaking tradition across the Atlantic, planting her own vineyard in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. The result is Marimar Estate — a California winery with a Catalan soul, known for elegant Pinot Noirs, graceful Chardonnays, and the Spanish grape Albariño that nods to her homeland.
We’ll be pouring three of their standout wines from The Cabana, paired with light bites from our kitchen.
